Before we talk more about you, let’s start with us - the People Experience team. Why do we exist and who are we?

At Zenjob we think it’s crucial to create an outstanding experience for our Zennies. Why? We create these experiences for over 250 Zennies across 6 cities in Germany and the Netherlands.

Sound’s ambitious? Yes, it is - but here is who we are and how we do this: Decidedly, we’re not an HR team. We’re not managing resources. We’re here to support our fellow Zennies and do our best to look after them, so that they have everything they need to build great things with the rest of us. We’re split into three teams to make this work: People Operations (your team), People & Organisational Growth and Workplace.

Our People Operations team are the key contact persons for our employees.We  support them throughout their whole employee lifecycle and also advise our people managers in all people-related and labor law matters. This is not a boring admin job with the same repetitive tasks: We are looking for a passionate colleague who brings creative and data-driven ideas on how to optimize and create new processes that guarantee a smooth running of our organisation and bring our people experience to the next level.

Some of the typical things you’ll do and challenges you’ll solve 

  • Employee Processes from Onboarding to Exit: Spearheading the design, roll-out, communication, data analysis and resulting optimisation of all people processes from onboarding to exit
  • Operational Excellence: Managing all operational personnel administration, including document creation and management (contracts, reference letters etc.), HRIS and data management, relocation & visa processes and payroll preparation and process checks
  • Sparring Partnering: Supporting employees on all admin and operational questions, advising people managers on all people-related and labor law matters and creating comprehensive internal guidelines for these people processes
  • People Analytics: Analyzing our key people data such as company growth and retention, employee satisfaction, absenteeism and vacation
  • Partner & Stakeholder Management: Evaluating, selecting and managing our partners and suppliers for P&C software and perks & benefits as well as corresponding with our external stakeholders like finance authorities, pension providers, insurance companies and administrative bodies
  • Strategy & Projects: Partnering with the Head of People Experience to set a people-centric People Operations Strategy & OKRs and bringing it to life by designing new frameworks and managing related initiatives with the team

The hard skills needed:

  • Several years of experience in a People Operations / HR Admin role that have taught you how to run smooth processes for over 100 people while still creating a delightful people experience
  • Detailed knowledge of employment law, immigration law & visa processes, payroll and taxes
  • Being a strong organizational talent who can juggle lots of diverse projects and can enable others to be organized through extremely efficient processes and great project management skills (ideally using Asana and Confluence)
  • Creating stunning presentations and running data-analyses (e.g. for people KPI reports, employee onboarding and trainings)
  • Fluent in both German and English
