Zenjob is a Berlin-based, tech-driven temporary staffing agency that provides student workers to companies. Students use the Zenjob app to book short-term jobs on an hourly basis or for several months. By way of temporary employment contracts, more than 12,000 students are dispatched each month in industries such as logistics, events, retail, and catering. Among the company's more than 1,000 customers are Uniqlo, Flixbus, Terra Naturkost, and Mercure Hotels.  Zenjob was founded in 2015 and currently employs over 250 people.

About us

Before we talk more about you, let’s start with us - the People Experience team. Why do we exist and who are we?

At Zenjob we think it’s crucial to create an outstanding experience for our Zennies. Why? Because we think this is what helps us to win over great people who we would love to work with, to enable them to do their best work and to bring so much fun to their work that they wouldn’t want to leave us. We create these experiences for over 250 Zennies across 6 cities in Germany and the Netherlands.

Sound’s ambitious? Yes, it is - but here is who we are and how we do this: Decidedly, we’re not an HR team. We’re not managing resources. We’re here to support our fellow Zennies and do our best to look after them, so that they have everything they need to build great things with the rest of us. We’re split into three teams to make this work: People & Organisational Growth (your team), People Operations and Workplace.

Our People & Organisational Growth team supports the development of our individual Zennies, our leaders as well as of our entire organisation. We design how growth at Zenjob looks like, how we give each other feedback and we create innovative learning experiences to support our people & organisation. As a data-driven team, we always measure our progress and define actions on how we can create an even happier and more engaged organisation.

Some of the typical things you’ll do and challenges you’ll solve 

  • Strategy & Projects: Partnering with the Head of People Experience to set a people-centric People & Organisational Growth Strategy & OKRs and bringing it to life by owning related initiatives with the team
  • Feedback & Performance Evaluation: Spearheading the design, roll-out, communication, data analysis and resulting optimisation of our feedback and performance evaluation processes and resulting promotion cycles
  • People Analytics & Engagement : Designing and running our employee surveys such as our Engagement Survey, Learning & Development Survey and Exit Survey and based on your analysis helping our leaders to interpret the results and take actions
  • Learning & Development Experiences : Ideating, designing and facilitating interactive and engaging learning opportunities & workshops either by yourself, with fellow Zennies or with external partners
  • Business Support: Working with our leaders to identify training needs and advise on best fitting L&D solutions and use of our individual and team learning budgets

The hard skills needed:

  • Experience in a People & Culture role where you have gotten a deep understanding about creative and innovative people & organisational development practices and tools
  • Being a strong organizational talent who can juggle lots of diverse projects at the same time
  • Creating interactive presentations and workshops that engage and inspire your audience
  • Running data analyses and using data to tell stories (e.g. for our trainings, workshops, L&D KPIs  and survey analyses)

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a creative mindset and can develop innovative ways to bring learning to life, in a physical and virtual environment
  • Care about creating real impact and measuring it with data
  • Are quick at building trusting and collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders and demonstrate great consulting skills
  • Have a charismatic communication style that allows you to easily woo people
